Broussard’s 2022 Réveillon Dinner Prix Fixe Celebrating Satsumas - $65
Available Wednesday - Saturday 5pm - 9pm

Walk through any neighborhood in New Orleans and you’ll pass countless citrus trees. Some growing there because they always have, or because grandma grew up with it. Some planted by home gardeners. Some, simply because of how well they grow in South Louisiana. But the best of them carries a treat decidedly unique to New Orleans. The sweet, citrusy Satsuma Mandarin has become a staple of wintertime in New Orleans.

They are delicious and fragrant with rich green leaves, beautiful white flowers, and yellowish-orange leathery-skinned fruits. Usually low-hanging and easy for us to pick, Satsumas make a great snack or addition to some of our favorite meals.
